Turn into Wellington Drive (from the town centre) and go through the small rainforrest, hit the river on your right hand side and at the end of the drive you'll find ample parking where you can easily access Nambucca's best feature the V-Wall. The V-Wall walk takes you along to the river-mouth and it's where the Warrell Creek and Nambucca River meets the Ocean. Apart from the amazing views to Scotts Heads and South West Rocks what makes it special is that you can leave your personal message (or graffiti) on this outdoor break-wall gallery. Everyone is encouraged to paint a rock at the legendary V-Wall Nambucca Heads to leave their holiday messages or whatever you like really (Ice cream recommend here).
Make sure you head down to the V Wall to watch some spectacular sunsets!

Views to Coffs Harbour and back down to South West Rocks not to mention the beautiful back-drop from the hills of the Great Diving Range.
Famous for its natural beauty and ease of access, the Nambucca River and its salt water estuary offers a fantastic range of activities to enjoy all year round (Seriously, forget Sunny Sawtell!). Recommended in high tide so you can literally float from one BBQ area Nambucca has to offer straight to the V-Wall Tavern. See you at the pub right? Here's what it looks like underneath -
Set on the beautiful Nambucca river the club goes all out with their Clubhouse venue, Pro-Shop, Restaurant and they even top it off with a proper Squash Court out the back. Who doesn’t like the challenge of not trying to hit the golf ball in the water all day. Hot tip - HAPPY HOUR – Monday to Friday 4pm to 5pm – $4.60 Schooners everyday of the week! You heard me right, old-school pricing so get yourself in there and have chat with the real locals of the river.
Why not try one of there boat cruises? How's a fully commentated cruise by their skipper who has the great knowledge on the River. A yummy seafood lunch is served with fresh local Sydney Rock Oysters and Fresh Prawns, Grilled Fish, Curried Prawns and Rice and a salad. There was even a Pavlova for dessert. OK, stopping here I'm full.
After the walk along the gorgeous Nambucca River river mouth it’s time to sit back, relax and enjoy all that the V-Wall Tavern has to offer. Their sun-soaked deck is the perfect place to enjoy a great meal with friends or take in Nambucca Heads epic waterfront views while enjoying a refreshing cold beer. Plus, the sun sets can be quite amazing here too.

Coming up from Fitzroy in Melbourne recently I had to find some decent coffee pronto. It has to be Wharf Street Cafe for me. All these adventures can make it a long-day sometimes, so there's nothing better than sipping on a latte (only great, and strong!) on a deck whilst watching it go away, and what's even better than also being right on-top of the Nambucca Valley River....Not much more!
